Pastoral Support Team

Normanton Common Primary Academy is wholly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.

Our aim is to be available to support you and your children when difficulties arise over behaviour or other concerns at home, in the community or at school. We will make home visits; give advice and signpost you to helpful services. We have a range of experience and expertise to draw on from working children and families over a number of years. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like our support. Either ask at the school office or call 890576.

Our Pastoral Support Team

Mr Walls and Mr Oldroyd are available to discuss any concerns you may have. They are responsible for helping children who may need additional emotional and social support in school and from other agencies.

She works with children in the classroom in small groups  or on a one to one basis. She works with senior leaders and the TRUST Education Welfare Officer to monitor all children’s attendance and punctuality. Miss Chapman is a Deputy DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead).

Our Educational Visits Coordinator is Mrs Brunyee/Mrs Smith

Learning outside the classroom has always been an integral part of the curriculum offer at Normanton Common.
